From July 21 to August 4, 2021, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Trade Union of Ba Ria – Vung Tau House Development JSC (HODECO) cooperated with the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial Youth Union to implement the program “Love Kitchen “, bringing 3000 free meals to poor households and the people with difficult living condition because of the epidemic in the province with a total donation value of nearly 100 million VND.
The rice meals, each worth 30,000 VND, are cooked without profit at the kitchen of Life Mila Vung Tau hotel.
Facing the complicated development of the Covid 19 epidemic, along with many other provinces and cities, Ba Ria – Vung Tau is implementing social distancing measures under Prime Minister’s Directive 16. Accordingly, the lives of many people were deeply affected, especially poor households, freelance workers, workers losing their jobs, etc. Therefore, HODECO quickly coordinated with the BR-VT Provincial Youth Union deployed the “Love Kitchen” model to provide free, nutritious meals to families and individuals with extremely difficult condition.

During the implementation of the program, every day, HODECO provided 200 lunches and delivered them to the Provincial Youth Union, giving the “blue-shirt volunteer” team to hand over to poor individuals and households. The generous meals of “Love Kitchen – Kitchen 0 VND” are not only practical during the epidemic season, but also are a source of spiritual encouragement for people with difficult situations, showing the spirit of mutual solidarity, sharing for the community to overcome the pandemic together.

“Love Kitchen” is one of the activities throughout the epidemic season, part of the program “SHARE LOVE – OVERCOME THE PANDEMIC” directly implemented by HODECO and received the enthusiastic response of the entire leadership team with the Company’s staff as well as the support of the local government. Previously, at the end of June 2021, the Executive Committee of the HODECO Youth Union also participated in supporting the purchase of mobile equipment for epidemic prevention for districts and communes in the province of BR-VT.
