On November 15, the “Sea Wall” Exhibition by Artist Văn Ngọc Opened at 199 Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa Apartment
The “Sea Wall” exhibition by artist Văn Ngọc officially opened on November 15, 2024, at the first floor of Block A, 199 Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa Apartment, a project developed by Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Housing Development Joint Stock Company (HODECO).
This marks the 23rd solo exhibition of Văn Ngọc, following his first individual exhibition in 1995. He is recognized both in Vietnam and internationally as “one of the most pioneering and successful installation artists in Vietnam.”
The Sea Wall Exhibition Space
For the “Sea Wall” exhibition, artist Văn Ngọc selected from approximately 100 works created over three consecutive years. The works reflect his ongoing exploration of the impacts of the sea on human life, an idea that began with his installation piece “Aftershock” (which won the First Prize at the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in 2006).
In discussing the collaboration, Mr. Đoàn Hữu Thuận, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HODECO, emphasized that HODECO is always ready to accompany and support partners in spreading valuable art to the public in Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu.
