In recent days, prolonged storms and heavy rains have caused devastating losses of life and property across numerous provinces and cities in the Central region. Thousands of homes have collapsed or lost their roofs; crops and livestock have been swept away; and infrastructure has suffered severe damage. The lives of our compatriots in the disaster-stricken areas are facing immense hardships and require urgent assistance to overcome this adversity and rebuild their lives.

Storms and floods severely impact our compatriots in the Central region
In response to the appeal from the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee and upholding the nation’s noble tradition of solidarity and mutual support, the Board of Management of HODECO, together with the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union, launched the campaign “Joining hands for the Central region compatriots” severely affected by the storms and floods.
Within a short period, the entire Board of Management, Trade Union members, and employees of HODECO collectively raised VND 428,937,500. This entire amount was promptly transferred by HODECO to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as a gesture of encouragement, contributing to helping the people in the flood-hit areas quickly overcome their difficulties, stabilize their lives, and resume production.
Over the years, HODECO has consistently accompanied local communities and authorities in social welfare activities, providing support to disadvantaged individuals, and particularly engaging in recovery efforts for flood-affected areas. This is not merely a practical action of joining hands with the community, but it also demonstrates HODECO’s humanitarian values and long-term vision toward building a prosperous society and sustainable human values.
